last week was a mixture of highs and lows, ending on a high. my piece ended up being a spinning cylinder of metal and i am more than pleased with how it turned out. i would have wanted the ends to be sealed but i like how it was anyway. i would like to explore this idea further, actually. I think it would be good to explore how size can affect the sound of the piece while spinning. if the centre was smaller and the edges were wider, how would that change the noise? or if one end had a smaller hole and one end had a larger opening, etc.
i ate far too many hobnob's today. a whole pack, in fact. i'm gonna detox.
i'm going home thursday and i can't wait. i'm excited to just be home with my family. probably gonna watch lots of films and bake lots of goodies with mum.
after this project, i felt really confident and i felt inspired with the work that i had done. i'm finally moving in a better direction and i can't wait to get a move on with some other ideasSsSsS
ps i love francesca woodman
